So I see a lot of fictional trans characters lately, and while the admirably supportive intentions behind wanting to write about the issue and the problems faced by people who deal with it are sweet, a lot of the time people who can’t actually empathize with gender dysphoria wind up painting trans people (or at least FTMs, of whom I see a lot more on the interbutts) in a pretty poor light.

No judgment here, just a desire to assist.

I was chillin’ out, maxin’, relaxin’, bored and noticed… a lot of my followers have weird-ass fuckin’ names.

Not that I’m criticizing, mind. It’s just kind of interesting to sift through.

A few of my favorites:

Vore - See, IDK, I’m actually a little afraid to look at your blog given traumatic past experiences with anything that had that word slapped on it. Do you like vore? Do you? Is vore your kink? Or is there a perfectly innocuous explanation for that username? I HAVE NO WAY OF KNOWING, YOU’RE AN ENIGMA.

Ferret Coldfinger - I can’t tell if this name was the result of “IDK what to enter in this text field, insert words for the next things I see/experience” or if you’re just the best James Bond villain ever.

Slipfallanddie - Come on now, there’s just no reason for that kind of negativity. I actually initially read this one as “Slipfall Andy” or something. I’m a little ashamed to admit it but there you go.

Puip - Your username… is fun to say and kinda cute. But I’m kind of picturing this as a Japanese onomatopoeia for something, I just can’t figure out what the sound effect is for. I was so convinced for a moment that it had to be like, the name of a Pokemon or something that (not being a pokemon follower) I ran a google search to make sure. The answer is no, but there is an urban dictionary entry:

I’m gonna gleefully start posting the random character-dialogue I get in my head sometimes when writing these goddamn stories. This one’s Laurent and Charon arguing like they always do. I have this addiction to Laurent referencing real-world stories she probably shouldn’t have access to. I’m just gonna shout “MAGIC LIBRARY” as an excuse and shuffle off.

A very large personal project I started last Christmas. I finally finished it! Normally I don’t get very sappy, but let me explain.
I participated in a now concluded Roleplay called Catalyst. Set in a Steampunk-influenced, early 1900s Earth. It was very exciting, there were, Airships, Sky Pirates, mysterious insects, assassins sent by a mysterious group known as The Men in Tall Hats, and battles above the Parisan sky.
The roleplay was so beloved by all of us I decided to do a character grid of the main cast.

Oh, memories.
